Grant Westmorland, CEO of Pacific Maritime Group, opened a marine construction business in 1981 and over 40 years it has evolved into a multi-faceted waterfront business that serves clients both locally and nationwide with their diverse and complex maritime needs. Grant’s experience and comprehensive knowledge of marine logistics, construction, salvage operations, project management, tug and barge movements, sales and client satisfaction have created Pacific Maritime Group. His dedication and oversight continue to drive the business creatively and soundly. Grant and his team work diligently to stay competitive and effective, doing so with ethics and integrity.

Steve Frailey
Government & Military Affairs/Sales – Partner
Steve is a former U.S. Navy Diver who went on to become a Department Head and Dockmaster at Campbell Shipyard until its closing in 1999. In 2000, Steve joined his partner in the business, Grant Westmorland and has since been an integral part of growing the business. Currently, Steve is focusing on Government and Military Affairs and Sales. Steve has a Master of Towing Vessel license and will still run a tug on occasion. He is also active in the maritime community and served as a past or present Board Member with the San Diego Maritime Museum, Harbor Safety Committee, Propeller Club, Maritime Alliance, and Barrio Logan Community Planning Group. He is a lifetime member of the SD Navy League and present Commodore at the Southwestern Yacht Club.

He is working to develop our team and business and brings a wealth of experience and problem solving prowess. Along the way, Pat has served as Operations and General Manager. Pat is also active in the maritime community outside of the office. He is the past President and a current Board Member of the San Diego Propeller Club and is a member of the Bay Planning Coalition.

Travis Stephens, Branch Manager at Long Beach, has over 35 years of experience in Marine Operations. He has sailed on his license in Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, the West Coast, Caribbean, San Francisco Bay and the great rivers of the West--Columbia, Snake, Stikine, Fraser, and the Yukon. Areas of experience include commercial fishing, passenger operations, project management, dredging, marine construction, salvage, and towing. Nick Gibson is the Long Beach Port Captain at Pacific Maritime Group where Nick oversees maintenance, operations and upkeep of the Long Beach facility, vessels and crew.
Nick has worked in the maritime industry for 20 years and has been with Pacific Maritime Group since 2015. Nick helps maintain work readiness and works with customers to complete all jobs to the highest standards possible.
