Meet Port Engineer Peter Walding
When you see his big smile peering through his big, bushy gray beard and you hear his charming Australian accent, it may be hard to imagine Peter Walding solving the most complex dredging challenges in the industry. A port engineer from Mornington, Victoria, Australia, Peter is a hardworking, gritty, tenacious professional with a fantastic work ethic who keeps all of our heavy, complicated mechanical systems working with peak efficiency.
Peter uses years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the industry to lead a team of first-class welders and shipfitters, skilled craftsmen, mechanics, electricians, and engineers. He describes his position at Pacific Maritime Group as being “a catalyst for a great support team of very talented and hardworking people in all the fields, to keep the machines operating.”
Peter Walding A Natural Leader
Peter has successfully overseen the re-power of our Patriot and A.N. Tillett tugs, installation of Manitowoc winches and cranes on barges, troubleshooting various mechanical challenges, and performs general mechanical maintenance of our entire fleet.
