The Summer of 2021 ushered in a new era of music and culture in San Diego. The Rady Shell at Jacob’s Park in San Diego is the iconic new waterfront live performance venue brought to all of us by the World famous San Diego Symphony. The Shell is the exclamation mark on the city skyline as viewed from San Diego Bay and Coronado Island. It is a bold, curvaceous centerpiece of music and culture in the heart of downtown. The signature Summer series is also famous for dramatically concluding shows with a fireworks show shot from the Bay. For years, Pacific Maritime Group has been the tug and barge partner helping to make each show a special event and a fond memory. The San Diego symphony and guest artists, the audience, boats at anchor and folks enjoying the show from various vantage points along the Embarcadero come together in awe as the music builds to a crescendo just as the fireworks erupt in celebration.
